Description: Corporate papers (1916-1957), committee minutes and reports, subject files (1916-1935), exhibition record book (1946-1950), financial records (1922-1957), printed records (1916-1957), photographs, and scrapbooks which include the predecessor Milwaukee Art Society items (1910-1937). Corporate papers include the constitution, by-laws, articles of association, and records documenting relationship to Layton Art Gallery and planned War Memorial Center. Scrapbooks document exhibition and membership activities. Photographs are of the MAI building, art class activities, and exhibitions.
